On the evening of August 31, 2023, Liaoning Province’s “First Lesson of the Semester,” with its themed activity of “Remembering the Exhortation, Revitalizing the Nation,” was successfully held through a livestreaming session. Yu Miaojie, a deputy of the 14th National People’s Congress, a member of the 14th Standing Committee of the Liaoning Provincial People’s Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and President of Liaoning University, was invited as a keynote speaker. Yu’s speech, “Let the Blossom of Youth Flourish on the Road of Revitalization,”, shared with the students his own personal struggles. The event was simultaneously broadcasted on 96 media platforms, both nationally and provincially, to an audience that included students, parents, and faculty members. The livestream session received a total viewership of 36.8 million and over 42 million likes.
