On July 1, 2025, the Economic Symposium of the China Democratic National Construction Association (CDNCA) was held in Beijing. Hao Mingjin, Chairperson of the CDNCA, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was presided over by Qin Boyong, Executive Vice Chairperson and attended by ice Chairperson Sun Dongsheng.
Hao Mingjin emphasized the need to thoroughly study and implement President Xi Jingping’s economic thoughts, grasping its core tenets, essence and practical requirements. He called for enhancing political commitment in serving the Party and national priorities, contributing to advancing Chinese modernization through high-quality development continuously. It is essential to accurately analyze and understand the current economic situation, aligning perspectives with the CPC Central Committee’s precise assessment and scientific judgment. He urged resolute implementation of the Central Committee’s major decisions, solid execution of economic tasks, and dedicated efforts to fulfill the objectives of the 14th Five-Year Plan and this year’s targets. Regarding the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Hao stressed organizing in-depth research, both within and outside the association on domestic and international challenges, key strategic issues as well as major socioeconomic goals and priorities to provide insights for shaping the next five-year plan. He also highlighted leveraging the ongoing education campaign on “studying regulations, strengthening conduct and upholding image” to refine research and investigation skills with a more rigorous approach. By delivering more substantial outcomes, the association can demonstrate its responsibility and pioneer new advancements in policy research and advisory work.
Qin Boyong noted that participating experts and scholars had delivered insightful presentations focusing on pivotal issues in economic, social and technological development. Drawing from their respective research fields and practical experience, their contributions demonstrated both theoretical rigor and practical relevance, combining broad strategic perspectives with concrete analysis. These inputs, she remarked, have provided fresh ideas to prepare the CDNCA Central Committee for the future work. She emphasized the need to systematically synthesize both the discussions and written submissions from the symposium to produce high-quality policy recommendations. Such efforts, Qin stated, would ensure thorough preparation for the CDNCA leadership’s participation in high-level political consultations.
