On April 5, Prof. Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University, attended the RES (Royal Economic Society) 2023 Annual Conference in Britain, held at the University of Glasgow. He was also invited by Prof. Anton Muscatelli, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Glasgow, to visit the university.

During the meeting, Prof. Yu Miaojie gave an overview of the history and development of Liaoning University, its first-class discipline construction in Applied Economics, and its education strategy of internationalization. Prof. Muscatelli briefly introduced the University of Glasgow and its policies of international cooperation and relevant projects. The two sides had full discussions on cooperative projects such as the joint training of undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral programs, comprehensive scientific research cooperation, and the Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) program between the two universities and have reached a strategic cooperation intention.
Prof. Yu Miaojie’s visit to the University of Glasgow is of great significance for Liaoning University in expanding its UK exchange and cooperation projects and enhancing its international reputation and educational levels.
