Today’s reader is Yu Miaojie, President of Liaoning University. What he reads for everyone is an excerpt from his book “An Overview of Chinese Modernization” titled “Northeast China is a Good Place”. This also is the first theoretical research result by Liaoning University in the process of studying and carrying out Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Charateristics for a New Era.

Northeast China is a good place. It has unique advantages. There is a complete industrial structure of 41 categories and 666 subcategories; there is a solid industrial foundation that road and railway infrastructure is second to none nationwide; there are hundreds of colleges and universities in Liaoning Province giving rise to a profound civilization; there is rich of natural resources of forests, oceans, and minerals. As long as the bottleneck period is passed, the development of Northeast China will be even better.
We need to implement the “two unswerving rules”. The key to the implementation of the “two unswerving rules” is to ensure that economies under all forms of ownership have equal access to factors of production, fair participation in competition, and legal protection. This is what we have always said that we need to earnestly improve the business environment and make it law-based, market-oriented and international.
