From Sept. 19th to Sept. 30th, the Central Party School (National School of Administration) carried out special training courses for Party Secretaries and Presidents of institutions of higher education to improve their political ability in Beijing. Prof. Yu Miaojie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University, attended the training and made an exchange speech as a representative at the class exchange and graduation ceremony.
Prof. Yu Miaojie said in his speech that during this training he systematically studied Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Xi’s important statements on upholding and strengthening the Party’s overall leadership, strengthening the Party’s political construction and improving the political ability of cadres, and his important statements on strengthening the construction of international communication ability, which deepened his understanding of the connotation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and its world outlook and methodology. He specifically studied the Regulations of the Communist Party of China on the Work of Grass roots Organizations in Ordinary Colleges and Universities and professional knowledge in various fields of colleges and universities such as ideological work, public opinion guidance and religious work, improved his ability to do ideological and political work, respond to emergencies, guide public opinion and fight, and will take this training as an opportunity to further enhance the cultivation of party spirit, consolidate theoretical foundation and improve political ability, We will always adhere to the standards of socialist politicians and educators, constantly promote the high-quality development of higher education, and make greater contributions to the building of a powerful country with higher education. He specifically studied the Regulations on the Work of Grass-roots Organizations in Colleges and Universities in the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the professional knowledge in various fields of colleges and universities, such as ideological work, public opinion guidance ability, religious work, etc., and improved the ability to do ideological and political work, to respond to emergencies, to guide public opinion and to fight.
