Professor YU Miaojie Gets Invited to Serve as the Chinese Team Leader of Policy Research Group on “Trade and Sustainable Supply Chain” of China’s Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development

Recently, China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development sent a letter to Liaoning University, inviting Professor YU Miaojie, the Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee and President of Liaoning University, to serve as the Chinese team leader of policy research group on ”Trade and Sustainable Supply Chain” of China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development. Hansen, Executive President of the World Resources Institute(WRI) serves as the foreign team leader of the project.

 


China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED) was established in 1992 approved by the State Council. It is a high-level international platform for policy consultation. The main task is to conduct research on important issues of environment and development in China and the world, and propose prospective and strategic policy recommendations. CCICED has set up “Trade and Sustainable Chain” policy research project (2022-2023) based on CCICED’s policy research foundations such as “ Sustainable Food Supply Chain” and “ Green Value Chain”. It is aimed to explore supply chain’s green, ecological sustainable and just transition from the perspective of trade, and use the supply chain transition to promote reshaping of the global governance system.

It is reported that Professor YU Miaojie,as the Chinese team leader, will coordinate and cooperate with foreign teams to undertake tasks including formulating project implementation plans, convening project conferences and research activities, and organizing Chinese and foreign experts to submit research results according to the work plan. Leverage scientific advantages and contribute the wisdom and strength of Liaoning University to building the green supply ecological chain and promoting sustainable development of China’s economy.
